The Halloween decorations are slowly going up around our house. The "Dead and Breakfast" sign is up... I am painting bottles for my Halloween apothecary (pics to come)... and the kids lunch boxes are filled with biohazards...
My fifth and first graders absolutely love their seasonal lunch boxes. An Eastertime lunch might come entirely packaged in plastic Easter eggs. Everything in the lunch box is green on St. Patrick's day. Valentine's sandwiches are cut into hearts and strawberries are speared with a heart toothpick. Now that we've crossed into October, I'm having a blast boxing up their lunches:
A witch's hand made from a goody bag (found at JoAnn's this year) and green grapes.
Brownies were wrapped in these fantastic bags I found in the Target dollar section last year.
Bat-skewered raspberries (to go with baguette and Brie -- my kids are obnoxious) and sliced turkey. The cupcake wrappers and picks were found at Dollar Tree this year.
Mini sweet peppers in a goody bag from JoAnns (this year).
And, of course, a seasonal napkin (Dollar Tree) and printable lunchbox note.
If you're on the hunt for printable lunch box notes for Halloween, try these:
Halloween lunch box laughs from Printables4Mom
Blank Halloween notes (write your own note) from Everyday Me
Super sweet Halloween love notes from My Sun Will Shine
Ghost giggles from The Crafting Chicks (as pictured above)
I'm planning to show you how I organize my lunch box goodies live via Periscope this Friday. If you have not downloaded Periscope, check it out here. Once you have downloaded it, you can find me @WWAHP or Korie B. See you Friday!
