Two Halloween apps that our family is loving this week:
1. The Room by Fireproof Games. My friend Susan had been raving about this game for a couple of weeks. I finally gave in to my curiosity and purchased it through the iTunes store over the weekend. I was a convert within the first two minutes of playing. There are no instructions to the game. You just have to try to solve the various puzzles using your own puzzle solving skills. I love, love, love this game. I will say that the whispers in the background make me feel like Lost's Smoke Monster is about to come through the jungle and eat me, but it adds to the surreal experience of the game. Try it. You'll like/love it.
The game can be purchased through iTunes here.
The game can be purchased through Google Play here.
2. It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. It isn't Fall without this timeless classic. My girls and I love to snuggle on the couch with hot cider and a heating blanket and watch poor Linus sit in the pumpkin patch, waiting for his hero. Starbucks recently offered this iTunes app as their pick of the week and I was thrilled to get it for FREE! My girls can read the original story while listening to the narrator from the1966 animated special. My youngest loves to carve pumpkins on her iPad, while my oldest chooses to dress up her own Peanuts character. Fantastic kids app and seasonally appropriate!!
The app can be purchased through iTunes here.
The app can be purchased through Google Play here.
(Note: this Google Play app is on sale as of 10/29/13 -- get it while you can!)
I'm off to yet another trick or treat event tonight. When did Halloween turn into a week-long event? I love it!
