When my daughter was a baby, I begged for and received a beautiful black velour backdrop, a white velour backdrop, a backdrop stand, a remote for my camera & an umbrella reflector. I stuffed that poor baby into every prop I could find -- stock pots, flower pots, etc. She posed with tiaras & tutus & angel wings. I was in scrapbookers heaven.
And it was good.
Now she's two and a half & it is next to impossible to get a picture of her looking at the camera. This morning I was bound & determined to do some portrait work of Baby G. I should have checked with her first. Apparently, she had other things in mind. Like sulking when I turned off The Wiggles. And scowling when I asked her to smile. And throwing the umbrella reflector over her shoulder, screeching "It's raining, It's raining!".
So, this is a portrait of my two year-old:
awwww! Even angels can have bad days!
It's a sweet picture, Korie!

I told you! I SO told you! I said you had to stop sticking her in things, that you would regret it, but did you listen? Noooooo.
Just be glad she didn't wait till her dating years to exact her revenge.

Way too funny...gotta love the expression, or more importantly how little of the expression you do see. At least she is half way through the terrible two's...just get ready for the future...I know the bloodline she comes from so she will get get smarter and more and more everything including cute...scary, but very cute!!

Take comfort that the picture isn't blurry. I've got four kids and hardly ever seem to get a clear picture!

I agree with Carol...who needs a posed photo. This one is simply precious. :)

Don't worry... it's temporary! Unfortunately when my dd's "refuse to look at camera" stage ended, it was replaced with the "fake-frozen smile" stage. Now that she's 4, we are back to the "smile happily and be a big ham" for the camera! Hang in there and be glad she's got a lot of personality! :)

That is so much the essence of a two year old. Great shot! Better story!
