A couple of months ago I mentioned that I signed up for Stacy Julian's "Library of Memories" class through Big Picture Scrapbooking. Class started a few weeks ago & I'm happy to report that I'm actually keeping up with my on-line class. Normally, I sign up for a class, read through the first assignment and then time just seems to slip away. By the time the class ends, I'm still working on the first assignment. Shimelle's 13-week Art Journal Challenge? Oh yeah, I'm still on week two. I was pregnant when I completed week one. Renee Pearson's Digital Brushes class? I only got as far as printing out the first assignment. I even took one of those Donna Downey monthly classes. I don't think I even got as far as printing out the assignment.
This class, however, has grabbed my attention and held it. I read Stacy's new "Photo Freedom" book cover to cover after Scrapbowl and I really love the way she organizes her photos.
She's helped me take my old system
which was chronologically thrown together into envelopes and Page Planners, and she turned it into this:
Now, I can flip through my photo binders and see what I want to scrap.
If you missed the opportunity to take "Library of Memories", run out & buy "Photo Freedom". It will help shed some of the guilt and pressure that stops your from scrapbooking. I'll keep you updated as I move on through the different week's assignments.
On the studio front, both bookshelves are now built:
I've filled my new MM embellishment jars with pretty little things, all sorted by color! I now need to design some gorgeous labels & spruce them up.
The stamp cases are still all over the place & my table is still a disaster. I have 8 days before I teach a "Letterboxing 101" class in my studio, so I better pull it together soon!
