This is my daughter's first presidential election. She's completely enthralled. We talk about the candidates and I took her down to the polls for early voting a couple of weeks ago. She proudly wore her own "I voted" sticker. It's very important to me that she use her hard-fought-for right to vote when she gets older. Regardless of how she votes, I'll be thrilled if she participates.
But right now, she's happy to wear her "My Mama Loves Obama" shirt. And she's looking forward to staying up tonight to watch the results roll in. We're making homemade pizzas and popping popcorn.
Happy election day to you!
