I'm preparing for Baby A's fourth (gasp!) birthday party and I figured that this is as good a time as any to finally post pics from her third birthday. At the time, Baby A was obsessed with Disney's classic, Peter Pan. I was surprised how very hard it was to find Peter Pan party supplies. Tinkerbell = easy. Peter Pan = not so much.
However, a crafty mama and a handy daddy can still pull together something amazing...
I was able to find adorable printable cupcake wrappers and toppers with a Peter Pan theme from Etsy seller OpalAndMae. They were so amazing that I'm relying on her again for our upcoming birthday bash (Alice in Wonderland-themed). Baby A chose homemade cupcakes over the traditional cake. I found the cupcake stand at Target (I think it's still there).
Everyone knows that Tiger Lily's tribe and the Lost Boys have taken turns capturing eachother for many moons, so we needed an encampment. Hubby created a teepee out of poles and a painted tarp. HUGE hit with the kids. I was amazed it didn't topple over when ten of our own "lost boys" piled in.
Lime green & purple cutlery and napkins. The caddy is from Target (of course...) and I just printed a Peter Pan image and punched it out for the front. I use the same caddy all through the year for playdates & parties. It is extremely easy to dress it up.
Hook's pirate chest. I had planned out a game where the kids would have to race and use the hooks to grab up as many jewels as possible. I was fortunate to have a friend in New Orleans on business the week before her party (Woo hoo! Thanks Uncle Nicky!). Of course, the second they saw that teepee, they didn't want to do anything else.
I'm off to start planning Baby A's Alice in Wonderland party. Pinterest, Etsy and Amazon are going to be the death of me...
