Suni and I recently joined the hordes of scrapbookers at Chantilly, VA's Great American Scrapbook Convention. We made our rounds in a little over an hour (dropping ghastly amounts of cash along the way), but here are the two things that really caught my eye:
Yeah... That booth took most of my money. There are so many different things you can do with these stamp sets! If you didn't make it to GASC and hand over all of your money to them there, you can certainly do it online. :)
2. Paper Wizard's Disney Theme Park Die Cuts. I'm the first one to mock a die cut title and I'm rather obnoxious about it. This company, however, caused me to come to a screeching halt and re-think my disdain for die cuts. OH MY GOOD GRAVY they are adorable. Want them. Need them. All of them. If you have a Disney album you're still meaning to get scrapped, these are must-haves. Head on over to their website and check them all out. My faves include Main Street,Animal Kingdom and the Jungle Cruise pictured above. Amazing!
I'm obsessed with Pinterest and a couple of months ago I stumbled across the idea of building a raised garden using discarded pallets. I asked a friend with a hubby in construction for a couple of pallets (thanks Amy!) and had my hubby whip me up this beauty. I've been planting lettuce seeds in a new row each week and I was absolutely thrilled with the results. We had fresh lettuce from the garden on Thursday night. I was feeling completely Mother Earthy and very proud of myself.
The following night, a derecho destroyed our area and this is what I was left with:
Yep. Big tree. Once we finish removing all of the debri (which also took out the rest of our garden), I will rebuild!! There's still a couple months of summer left, right?
My little house in the woods is finally recovering from our recent storms and I HAVE POWER IN MY HOUSE AGAIN!!! I just updated the printable coupons for this week. You'll find printable coupons for AC Moore, Hobby Lobby, Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics under the "Hot Links" section of the left sidebar on my home page. Happy shopping!
