Feeling like treating yourself to a last-minute gift this season? Here are two things that caught my eye this week:
1. Northridge Media's Cricut Magazine. I don't own a Cricut (I have the original Wishblade & have yet to upgrade), but I crop with a group of rabid Cricut fans (I'm talking to you Amy...). This new magazine (from the publishers of "Scrapbook Trends" and "Cards") is chock full of scrapook layouts, cards and home decor ideas -- all made using your Cricut! The first issue ships in January and the price tag is a bit steep ($74.95!), but fans are sure to be inspired.
2. The Fiskars Stamping Press. I just bought this bad boy the other day (I've seen them at Michaels & Jo-Anns... use a coupon!) after watching a video from Jennifer McGuire. I had seen the product in the stores before, but never saw the use in it until I watched McGuire use it. Wow! It makes it so easy to line up clear stamps and get the image exactly where you want it. I tried mine out this morning and it was incredibly easy and the image was even and crisp. Yummy!
I'm off to finish up the last of the Christmas wrapping and to put some last minute touches on holiday gifts. I hope you're having a wonderful week!
Printable coupon links have been updated for AC Moore, Michaels & Hobby Lobby. There is an additional AC Moore link for 60% off one item that is valid today (Tuesday, the 21st) only! You'll find all of the links under the "Hot Links" section on the left sidebar of my home page. Happy shopping!
I just added three more 2011 Nancy Drew Date Books to my Etsy store:
The Quest of the Missing Map I don't remember ever using this cover before, but I found the perfect muave/plum/green plaid ribbon to go with it! I love the colors in this book & I'm sure it will be wildly popular.
The Secret of Red Gate Farm This cover is wonderfully vintage & I included plenty of pink (including polka dots -- who doesn't love polka dots?) and yellow in the kit to bring a smile to the new owner's face every day in 2011.
The Secret of the Old Clock The first book in the series is my most popular by far. Everyone seems to love this classic. It includes blue & lime green embellishments and papers and is just plain wonderful!
If you haven't stopped by my Etsy store in a while, I've included some 7 Gypsies products (at a discount) and I'll be adding new stuff daily as I clean out my storage closet! I have a ton of stuff left over from "Summer in Paris" and I'll be selling it at a discount. Be sure to check in regularly!
Nothing gets me in the holiday spirit better than a Christmas movie. We have our family favorites (we always watch "A Christmas Story" when putting up the Christmas tree) as do our children (I've seen "Fred Claus" so many times that I think I'm developing a thing for Vince Vaughn). To celebrate holiday movies, I'm releasing three new Scrabble tile bracelet kits -- White Christmas, It's A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story. Each kit is a limited release, so grab them quickly!
"I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas"
This aqua & red themed "White Christmas" kit will make you want to break out in song with the Haynes sisters!
"Every Time A Bell Rings"
The beautiful black & white images caught on film by Frank Capra in the 1946 classic "It's A Wonderful Life" are breathtaking next to your own hand beaded black, white & soft pink charms. You'll cheer on Clarence as her earns his wings by helping George Bailey realize that he really has had a wonderful life.
"You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!"
"Deck the harrs with boughs of horry, Fa Ra Ra Ra Ra, Ra Ra Ra Ra" This may very well be my favorite kit. You'll love the classic images (the flag pole, the pink bunny suit and Life Buoy soap) and vintage colors in this kit.
Holy crap, it's cold outside. All of my West Coast girlfriends are e-mailing me and bragging about their 70 degree weather. Seriously? Bite me. It's December. It's supposed to be so cold that your tears freeze on your cheeks.
So, to celebrate the temperatures outside, I'm hibernating inside... with coffee and bagels. Thus, my Two For Tuesday picks this week:
1. Gingerbread Bagels from Panera. A little bit of heaven on a cold morning.... The Panera gingerbread bagel is to die for. I'm not a huge gingerbread fan, but these bagels are the right amount of ginger, cinnamon, cloves & molasses. I buy them buy the dozen and freeze them. They are delicious toasted in the toaster oven with gobs of butter on top.
2. International Delight Breve Creamers. I'm head over heels in love with the new creamers from International Delight. They are made with cream and sugar instead of the oil found in most creamers. Yum! Combine that with my Keurig coffee maker and I have no need for Starbucks!
So, enjoy your warm weather, my West Coast friends. You'll find me bundled up, sipping hot coffee and eating a buttery gingerbread bagel. As it should be...
