I know it has been forever since I've released an on-line kit, but you know.... new baby... blah, blah, blah.
I put together three cute little journals for my best friend Carrie's children. They are departing for their first family vacation next week -- in Hawaii. I love these kids dearly and wanted them to have something special for their trip. So, I came up with this:
That's a miniature wooden surfboard on the front. My hubby bought them for me years ago for a class project and I've been trying to find the perfect project for them. Found it!
I had enough materials left over for four more books, so I typed up some instructions and bagged them as kits. I put them on Etsy this morning and ran out to take my daughter to a playdate. Before I could get them on this website, half of the kits were already sold!! The two remaining kits can be found on my Etsy site. I won't be making any more of this kit, so grab them while you can. (6/19/09 EDITED TO ADD: So sorry, but the kits have already sold out!)
I am working on two more Summer themed kits. Hopefully I'll be able to release them over the next couple of weeks. Thank God for Summer day camp for pre-schoolers!

Best Friend Carrie here, posting from the North Shore of O'ahu to say that my kids starting writing in their journals on the flight over and and have darn well filled them up. The LOVE having a place to record their daily adventures. Korie gave me a tip on packing a glue stick and she included pockets and envelopes in the journal so treasures have a place to go! My 8 year old son can hardly wait to sit down at the end of each day and reflect on what he has seen and done. Thank you Auntie Korie--you are the BEST!
