A very long time ago, a group of girlfriends and I decided to start Circle Journals within our group. Each journal had a theme and the game plan was to rotate the books within the group, with each person adding a layout. The books would rotate through the twelve of us, and we'd be done within a year.
That was almost three years ago. You know how it goes... Best laid plans and all...
Not a darn one of those journals is complete.
I'm hoping to finish my layouts over the next few months so that I can check this off the endless crafting "To Do" list. And maybe, just maybe, it will inspire the others to finish theirs as well.
Here's the layout I completed last night for Terri's "National Parks" Circle Journal
The paper is Basic Grey Archaic, the cardstock is DCWV, the border punch is Martha Stewart Crafts, the corner punch is EK Success, the chipboard alphabet is Maya Road and the font is Tahoma.
After I painted the chipboard letters, I used Staz-On Saddle Brown and the Stampin' Up! "Linen" stamp to give it some texture. You can't see it so well on the scan, but the effect is pretty cool.
My next Circle Journal project? Marie's "Favorite Seasons" book. I'm thinking Summer....
