Back in September, I posted that I was converting my ribbon organization system from my ribbon rack to a card system. I'm here to report that FOUR MONTHS LATER, I'm done!! I have four beautiful boxes just chock full of ribbon in my studio credenza. Take a look:
The four boxes fit perfectly into a drawer in my credenza. I've tried every type of ribbon organization in the past. Cute clothespins in big jars, ribbon racks, color-coded ribbon in mason jars, everything.... This is hands-down the best system I've found. I can quickly grab a card & toss it into my page planners when going to crops (although, in truth, I tend to bring all four boxes because I'm quick to change my design). I can easily find colors/themes. I love it!
The colors are sorted into ROYGBIV. LOVE IT!
Each of my ribbons is secured with a straight pin. At a recent crop, I noticed that my friend Amy M. had hers secured with paper clips. Clever girl... no holes!
The next step in my organization frenzy (now that I've finished ribbons, flowers, cardstock, embellishments, paints & fibers) = my Club Scrap papers. I own four years of Club Scrap kits. 48 kits. I've used (maybe) 3 sheets of paper out of all of those kits. I think I'm going to pull them out of their protective sleeves, label the dividers in my Cropper Hopper Paper Storage and actually use them. You never use what you don't see. Wish me luck!
