All her life, Cami has been a maker, mostly of paper things. Her love for quality paper and beautiful writing started at a very young age, when her parents bought her a calligraphy set to keep her busy. From there she never looked back and developed a true love affair for paper arts. In 2005, she made it official and opened her store, Cami's Paperie in Purcellville, Virginia. It was during that two and a half years at the Paperie that Cami devoted herself to learning new book making / stitching techniques. Cami loves teaching, learning and especially showing others just how much joy there is in creating with paper.
Cami regularly teaches handmade books at Angela's Happy Stamper in Reston, VA, and at a private studio in Purcellville, Virginia. Her work can be seen in various exhibits and/or contests throughout the year.
Cami's Paperie no longer operates a storefront. In March of 2009 Cami's Paperie transferred to her home studio which specializes in couture designer wedding invitations, limited edition handmade books and custom monogram designs. For more information visit: www.camispaperie.com.
While she has never visited Paris, it's definitely on her must-do list. The food, the wine and the sights are all too enticing to pass up. Cami is super excited to be included as one of the instructors for the "Summer in Paris" retreat. You'll certainly want to take one of the two bookbinding classes she will be offering!
